I am  a Portuguese, a Chinese and a Kadazan.  I was born in Limbahau, Papar, Sabah.  I did my lower education in Kota Kinabalu , Sabah at St. Frances Convent School, Sacred Heart School and La Salle School. I left for Australia for further studies in January, 1969.

My late father, a Senior Police Officer, was the OCPD of various Districts.

My grandfather was the Contract Engineer who built the Railway Line from Jesselton (Kota Kinaballu) to Papar before the 2nd World War.

The late Tun Fuad Stephens was my uncle. I often stayed and visited Uncle Don, Aunty June and the family in Canberra during my school holidays .

He was the 1st and 5th Chief Minister of Sabah from September 1963 to December 1964. And again briefly served as  the Chief Minister from April 1976 to his "Double Six" plane crash death in June 1976.

The 3rd Yang di-Pertua Negara of Sabah from September 1973 to July 1975. 

Aunty June became an assemblywoman when she won a by-election for the Kiulu constituency.

In July 1976, she was appointed as the Welfare Minister and became the first woman minister in the Sabah government.

After graduation, I worked for an Australian Accountancy firm and I was promoted as the Chief Accountant of The Taxation and Audit Department the following year. I left the firm after 5 years of service.  I established my Accountancy firm and a trading company. I returned to Kota Kinabalu after residing in Australia for 15 years. I am now Australian Citizen.
